State Initiatives
America's energy problems will only be solved by a transition to renewable energy. Solar energy is capable of playing a large role in the solution; though it is the fastest growing energy source in the world, we have only scratched the surface of its potential. In order to bring solar to scale in time to make a difference, a radical market and regulatory transformation is needed. Some limited-term financial incentives are required in order to close the price gap until costs come down, but in addition, serious regulatory barriers — on a state-by-state basis — must be removed.
